How do I set up an Apple developer account?
To publish an app in the App Store under your own name, you need your own Apple developer account. You open it with Apple, then add us as an admin so we can build and publish your app for you.
What are the steps?
Enrol with Apple
Go to Apple’s developer site and enrol in the Apple Developer Program with your organisation’s details. Apple charges a yearly membership fee.
Wait for Apple to approve it
Apple checks your organisation before the account opens. This can take a few days.
Add us as an admin
In App Store Connect, open Users and Access, and invite rupert@our-app.com with the Admin role.
We do the rest
We build and publish your app from your account, without asking you for every access code Apple sends.
Why does it have to be my account?
Apple publishes an app under the name of the account it belongs to. With your own account, the App Store shows your organisation as the app’s publisher, and the app stays yours. Our community appsdon’t need one: they sit inside our own shared apps.
